Abstract
Mikotoksini su štetni metaboliti nekih vrsta plijesni koji se mogu naći u brojnim namirnicama i krmivu. Kontaminacija mikotoksinima može rezultirati ekonomskim gubicima te toksično djelovati na zdravlje ljudi. Od primarne je važnosti suzbiti kontaminaciju mikotoksinima što se ostvaruje fizikalnim, kemijskim i biološkim metodama. Danas se stavlja veliki naglasak na biološke metode koje se temelje na biotransformaciji i adsorpciji mikotoksina mikrobnim kulturama i njihovim staničnim komponentama. U ovom radu navedeni su rezultati dosadašnjih istraživanja uklanjanja mikotoksina pomoću organskog otpada kao biosorbensa.
Abstract (english)
Mycotoxins are harmful metabolites of some types of moulds that can be found in numerous foods and feeds. Contamination with mycotoxins can result in economic losses and have a toxic effect on human health. It is of primary importance to reduce mycotoxin contamination, which is possible by physical, chemical and biological methods. Today, great emphasis is placed on biological methods based on biotransformation and adsorption of mycotoxins by microbial cultures and their cellular components. This paper presents the results of previous research on the removal of mycotoxins using organic waste as a biosorbent.
