Abstract
Adolescencija je razdoblje od 10. do 19. godine života. To je period kada adolescenti postaju samostalniji u svojim odlukama i razdoblje kada, između ostaloga, usvajaju prehrambene navike koje će ih pratiti kroz život. Pri tome je okolina koja ih okružuje od izuzetne važnosti, a obitelj i roditelji imaju najvažniju ulogu. Cilj ovog istraživanja bio je napraviti pregled znanstvene literature te istražiti kako obitelj i društveno okruženje utječu na prehrambene navike u adolescenata. Važno je da se adekvatne prehrambene navike kreiraju od najranije dobi kako bi se smanjio rizik za razvoj kroničnih nezaraznih bolesti, kao što je pretilost, koje smanjuju kvalitetu života u odrasloj dobi. Važna je edukacija adolescenata kako bi znali činiti dobre prehrambene odabire u današnjem vremenu kad se promovira „brza“ hrana i nedovoljno naglašava važnost pravilne prehrane i tjelesne aktivnosti.
Abstract (english)
Adolescence is the period from 10 to 19 years of age. It is a period when adolescents become more independent in their decisions and a period when, among other things, they adopt eating habits that will accompany them through life. Therefore, the environment that surrounds them is extremely important, although family and parents have the most important role. This study aimed to review the scientific literature and investigate how the family and social environment affect eating habits in adolescents. It is important that adequate eating habits were created from an early age to reduce the risk of developing chronic non-communicable diseases, such as obesity, which decrease the quality of life in adulthood. It is important to educate adolescents so that they know how to make the right dietary choices in this modern society which promotes fast food and insufficiently emphasizes the importance of adequate nutrition and physical activity.
