Abstract
Niskotemperaturnim eutektičkim otapalima nastoji se smanjiti zagađenje okoliša te se sve više istražuje njihova primjena umjesto hlapivih organskih otapala. Cilj ovog rada bio je ispitati mogućnost primjene cijelih stanica kvasca Saccharomyces cerevisiae kao biokatalizatora za enantioselektivnu redukciju halogeniranog acetofenona u niskotemperaturnim eutektičkim otapalima na bazi kolin-klorida. Ispitan je i utjecaj predtretmana stanica kvasca ultrazvukom i detergentom. S obzirom na praćene parametre može se zaključiti da se povećanjem udjela vode u eutektičkom otapalu povećava konverzija reakcije, a kao najpogodnije otapalo za enantioselektivnu redukciju odabrano je kolin- klorid:etilen-glikol s 30 % (w/w) vode.
Abstract (english)
Deep eutectic solvents are used to reduce environmental pollution and their use instead of volatile organic solvents is increasingly being investigated. The aim of this study was to investigate the possibility of using whole yeast cells of Saccharomyces cerevisiae as a biocatalyst for enantioselective reduction of halogenated acetophenone in deep eutectic solvents based on choline chloride. The effect of pretreatment of yeast cells with ultrasound and detergent was also examined. Given the monitored parameter, it can be concluded that increasing the water content in the eutectic solvent increases the yield of reactions, and choline chloride: ethylene glycol with 30% (w/w) water was chosen as the most suitable solvent for enantioselective reduction.
