Abstract
Aerobne su granule samo-imobilizirani sferični agregati mikroorganizama. Ovi gusti mikrobni agregati načinjeni su od različitih bakterijskih vrsta i obično sadrže milijune organizama po gramu biomase. Od ovih se bakterija očekuje da imaju različite uloge u razgradnji otpadnih voda koje sadrže različite organske tvari. Na karakteristike aerobne granulacije utječu mnogi faktori: sastav supstrata, količina organskog utovara, hidrodinamička sila smicanja, vrijeme taloženja, hidrauličko vrijeme zadržavanja, aerobno gladovanje i sadržaj Ca2+ iona. Prednosti aerobnih granula formiranih u SBR reaktorima jesu gušća i čvršća mikrobna struktura, dobra sposobnost taloženja i sposobnost rada pri velikom organskom opterećenju. Aerobne granule mogu se koristiti u pročišćavanju visoko onečišćenih otpadnih voda sa organskim sastojcima i toksičnim tvarima.
Abstract (english)
Aerobic granules are self-immobilized spherical aggregates of microorganisms. These dense microbial aggregates consist of various bacterial species and typically contain millions of organisms per gram of biomass. These bacteria are expected to play different roles in degrading wastewater containing various organic chemicals. Characteristics of aerobic granulation are affected by many factors: composition of substrate, organic loading rate, hydrodynamic shear force, settling time, hydraulic retention time, aerobic starvation and content of Ca2+. The advantages of aerobic granules formed in SBRs are dense and strong microbial structure, good settling ability and ability to withstand a high organic loading rate. Aerobic granules can be used in treating high-strength wastewaters containing organics and toxic substances.
