Abstract
Stil života igra važnu ulogu u nastanku pretilosti, a posljednja istraživanja pokazuju da bi vrijeme i učestalost obroka mogli biti važni faktori u njezinom nastanku. Pretpostavlja se da su kasni obroci i mala učestalost obroka povezani s dobitkom kilograma. U cilju procjene prehrambenih navika, s posebnim osvrtom na obrazac prehrane, u ovo je istraživanje bilo uključeno 794 učenika srednje škole u Zagrebu prosječne dobi 15,6 godina. Veći unos energije u jutarnjim satima dovodi do nižeg ukupnog energetskog unosa kod djevojčica. Veći broj obroka povlači i veći unos energije kod oba spola. Učenici s više od 6 obroka/dan imaju niže vrijednosti indeksa tjelesne mase od učenika s manje od 4 obroka/dan. 22% učenika preskače zajutrak. Učenici koji preskaču zajutrak imaju niži ukupan dnevni energetski unos od učenika koji ne preskaču zajutrak.
Abstract (english)
Lifestyle plays an important role in the development of obesity, and the latest research shows that the time and frequency of meals may be important factors in its occurrence. It is assumed that a late meals and a small meal frequency are related to weight gain. In order to assess dietary habits, with particular emphasis on dietary pattern, this research included 794 high school students in Zagreb, the average age of 15.6 years. A higher intake of energy in the morning leads to lower total energy intake in girls. A larger number of meals entails higher energy intake in both sex. Students with more than 6 meals / day have lower levels of body mass index than students with less than 4 meals / day. 22% of students skip breakfast. Students who skip breakfast have a lower total daily energy intake than students who do not skip breakfast.
