Abstract
Kvaliteta prehrane uključuje različite parametre, od kojih je jedan od važnijih raznolikost. Utvrđivanje raznolikosti prehrane često se temelji na zahtjevnim dijetetičkim metodama, zbog čega su razvijeni brojni kratki upitnici adekvatne valjanosti. Jedan od takvih alata je Diet Quality Questionnaire (DQQ). U usporedbi s općom populacijom, sportaši od prehrane imaju drugačija očekivanja koja mogu negativno utjecati na kvalitetu prehrane. Cilj ovog rada bio je izvijestiti o raznolikosti i kvaliteti prehrane vrhunskih sportaša (n = 46; 32 muškaraca i 14 žena; raspon dobi: 18 – 36) u usporedbi s općom populacijom (n = 46; 32 muškaraca i 14 žena; raspon dobi 19 – 29), korištenjem DQQ-a. Dokazana je statistički značajna razlika za 6 vrsta DQQ indikatora, od kojih su najbitniji DDS (engl. dietary diversity score) (p = 0,0136) i GDR Score (engl. global dietary recommendations score) (p = 0,0151) te sportaši prema rezultatima imaju bolju kvalitetu prehrane kao i bolje rezultate kvalitete spavanja (82,6 % sportaša spava 7 - 8 h) u usporedbi s općom populacijom.
Abstract (english)
Diet quality includes various parameters and one of the most important is variety. Diet quality assessment often requires demanding methods and that is why valid questionnaires like Diet Quality Questionnaire (DQQ) have been developed. Compared to the general population, athletes have different expectations from nutrition which can negatively affect the diet quality. The aim of this paper was to report about diet quality of elite athletes (n = 46; 32 men and 14 women; age range: 18 – 36) compared to the general population (n = 46; 32 men and 14 women; range age 19 – 29), using the DQQ. A statistically significant difference between the results was demonstrated for 6 indicators and most important are dietary diversity score (DDS) (p = 0.0136) and global dietary recommendations score (GDR Score) (p = 0.0151) and athletes according to the results have a better diet quality as well as better sleep quality results (82.6% of athletes sleep 7-8 hours) compared to the general population.
