Abstract
Jedan od najvećih problema današnjice predstavlja onečišćenje okoliša. Onečišćenje teškim metalima, u koje spada i olovo (Pb), izrazit je problem zbog toga što metali nisu biorazgradivi i imaju negativan utjecaj na živi svijet. Ekološki i okolišno prihvatljivo rješenje pruža novi biotehnološki proces fitoremedijacije, koji se temelji na sposobnosti biljaka da čiste i obnavljaju onečišćeno područje. U ovom radu ispitan je utjecaj olova na rast jablana (Populus nigra var. italica), fitoekstrakcijski potencijal jablana za olovo, njegova preraspodjela u pojedine dijelove biljke, stupanj lipidne peroksidacije i količina vodikovog peroksida (H2O2), te utjecaj olova u podlozi za rast na aktivnost antioksidativnih enzima superoksid-dismutaze (SOD), peroksidaze (POD), katalaze (CAT), askorbat-peroksidaze (APOX), glutation-S-transferaze (GST) i glutation reduktaze (GR). Dobiveni rezultati skupno ukazuju da ispitivani jablan (Populus nigra var. italica) može biti razmatran kao vrsta s potencijalom upotrebu u fitostabilizaciji tala onečišćenih olovom.
Abstract (english)
One of the biggest problems today is pollution. Contamination with heavy metals which includes the lead (Pb), is a distinct problem because metals are not biodegradable and have negative impact on the living world. Ecologically and enivronmentally acceptable solution provides a new biotehnological process called phytoremediation, which is based on the ability of plants to clean and restore contaminated area. This study was used to assay the effect of lead on the growth of poplar (Populus nigra var. italica), phytoextraction potential of poplar for lead, his redistribution in certain parts of the plant, (H2O2), and the effects of lead in the soil on the activity of antioxidant enzymes like superoxide dismutase (SOD), peroxidase (POD), catalase (CAT), ascorbate peroxidase (APOX), glutathione-S-transferase (GST) and glutathione reductase (GR). All of the results together inicate that the studied poplar (Populus nigra var. italica) can be considered as a species with the potential use in phytostabilization of the soil contaminated with lead.
