Abstract	U radu su navedeni svi važniji čimbenici koji uvjetuju proizvodnju u zaštićenim prostorima. Na osnovu čimbenika kao što su udaljenost zaštićenih prostora 100 – 500 m od glavnih prometnica, udaljenost od većih onečišćivača 1 – 5 km, namjena prostora, vrste tala u Baranji te da imaju dobru cestovnu povezanost, dostupnost plina, električne energije i vode. Primjenom GIS tehnologije izrađene su tematske karte u programu Quantum GIS (QGIS), a dobiveni podaci su kategorizirani u dvije kategorije: pogodno područje i nepogodno područje označeno zelenom i crvenom bojom. Iz završne tematske karte na kojoj su dodani svi važniji čimbenici za proizvodnju u zaštićenom prostoru, jasno se vidi da su najpogodnija područja središnje Baranje oko naselja: Mitrovac, Čeminac, Kozarac, Kneževi Vinogradi, Lug i dr. i dijelovi sjeverne Baranje oko naselja Kneževo, Popovac, Topolje, Petlovac. Područje Baranje ima veliki potencijal za podizanje zaštićenih prostora, ali ih ne iskorištava dovoljno. Od ukupno 52441,76 ha poljoprivrednih površina, samo 6,44 ha je iskorišteno za zaštićene prostore što je otprilike 1% površina pod ovom vrstom proizvodnje.
Abstract (english)	All the important factors that make production in protected areas are listed. Based on factors such as the distance between protected areas from from main roads which is 100 – 500 m, the distance from major polluters 1 - 5 km, the purpose of space, the type of soil in Baranja and the good road connection, availability of gas, electricity and water. Using GIS technology, the thematic maps were created in the Quantum GIS (QGIS) program, and the data obtained was categorized into two categories: a suitable area and a bad area marked green and red. From the final thematic map on which all the major factors of production in the protected area are added, it is clear that the most favorable areas are areas of central Baranja around the settlements Mitrovac, Čeminac, Kozarac, Kneževi Vinogradi, Lug and others and parts of northern Baranja around Kneževo, Popovac, Topolje, Petlovac. The Baranja region has great potential for raising protected areas, but it does not make enough use of it. Of the total 52441.76 ha of agricultural land, only 6.44 ha is used for protected areas, which is about 1% of the area under this type of production.
