Abstract
Lavanda je vrlo omiljena ukrasna biljka koja se sve više uzgaja i plantažno. Lavanda posjeduje brojna ljekovita svojstva, što utječe i na povećanu potražnju za lavandom i lavandinim proizvodima. Temeljni cilj ovoga rada je analizirati proizvodnju lavande u Republici Hrvatskoj te donijeti zaključke o važnijim karakteristikama vanjskog i unutarnjeg okruženja, a sve sa ciljem identificiranja strateških čimbenika koji bi mogli utjecati na perspektivu daljnjeg razvoja proizvodnje lavande i lavandinih proizvoda. Provedena PESTLE analiza i Porterova analiza prikazuju kako čimbenici pravno okruženje, tehnološko okruženje, političko okruženje, supstituti, konkurenti i potencijalni novi sudionici, imaju najveći negativni utjecaj na proizvodnju lavande. Svi ostali čimbenici, osim pregovaračke snage dobavljača, imaju poticajno djelovanje. Pomoću ove dvije analize možemo zaključiti kako je lavanda potencijalno atraktivan proizvod, usprkos negativnim utjecajima pojedinih čimbenika.
Abstract (english)
Lavender is very popular ornamental herb which is often grown on plantations. Lavender has a number of healing properties which also contributes to increased consumption of lavender and lavender products. The basic aim of the paper is to analyse the lavender production in the Republic of Croatia and to identify the most important external and internal environmental factors in order to determine the strategic factors that may affect the future development of production of lavender and lavender products. Conducted PESTLE and Porter’s analyses points to the conclusion that factors of the political environment, technological environment, legal environment, substitutes, competitors and threat of new entrants have a negative impact on lavender production. All other factors, except of bargaining power of suppliers, have a stimulating effect. Using these two analyses we can conclude that lavender is a potentially attractive product, despite the negative effects of certain factors.
