The aim of the paper is to describe the training of horses for mastering the basic elements of dressage, the first competitions and the perfecting of the more demanding elements of the competition dress according to the rules of Fédération Équestre Internationale and the Croatian Equestrian Federation. Back riding is the fundamental discipline of horse sport, where sport and art combine is a discipline that follows the development of the horse. The aim of the horsehair training is that the rider and the horse in complete harmony carry out the crossings between the walk, the pile and the gallop, and at a higher level perform the complicated high school figures. Horseracing starts from the earliest age of horses by basic horse training. During basic training, the horse is attracted to leadership, develops fitness and concentration, improves the pace, learns the commands that the trainer puts it in the voice, hands or feet. After basic training that lasts up to 4 years of age, the future sports horseshoe moves gradually with dirt movements and figures. Every rider and his horseshoe must adopt basic moves and figures in the rally before they start competing in dense tournaments. The governing body at the international level is the Fédération Équestre Internationale (FEI), which sets competition rules and cares for the well-being of horses competing in dredging equestrian sports and on the Croatian Equestrian Federation (HKS).
