Abstract
Sve veća intenzivna poljoprivredna proizvodnja s visokom prinosima zahtijeva i povećanje potrošnje mineralnih gnojiva. Mineralna gnojiva, prvenstveno dušik su neophodni za razvoj biljke, jer u nedostatku dušika biljke imaju usporen rast, svijetliju boju listova, smanjenje prinosa. Međutim brojnim istraživanjima koja su navedena u diplomskom radu, ukazuje se na pretjerano i nekontrolirano korištenje dušičnih gnojiva, jer koliko god su dušična gnojiva neophodna za razvoj biljke, biljka ne može usvojiti svu količinu. Prekomjernim navodnjavanjem i značajnijim oborinama dolazi do ispiranja nitrata u dublje slojeve tla, gdje onečišćuju podzemne ili površinske vode. Ključni čimbenik koji utječe na gubitak dušika iz tla je tlo bez usjeva (golo tlo), a u početnom dijelu vegetacije gubitci dušika iz tla posljedica su manjeg usvajanja od strane biljke. Problem povećane koncentracije nitrata u podzemnim vodama prepoznat je u većini zemalja svijeta i Europe gdje su poduzete određene smjernice za budućnost. Proveli su mjere i doveli do smanjenja koncentracije nitrata u podzemnim vodama, dodavanjem manje količine dušičnih gnojiva u poljoprivrednim kulturama, a u uvjetima navodnjavanja ispiranje nitrata može se svesti na minimum pravilno određenim normama navodnjavanja.
Abstract (english)
Increasing intensive agricultural production with high yields also requires an increase in the consumption of mineral fertilizers. Mineral fertilizers, primarily nitrogen, are essential for the development of the plant, because in the absence of nitrogen plants have slow growth, brighter leaves colour, and lower yields. However, numerous researches listed in the graduate thesis indicate the excessive and uncontrolled use of nitrogen fertilizers because as much as the nitrogen fertilizers are necessary for the development of the plant, the plant cannot absorb the whole quantity. Excessive irrigation and significant rainfall lead to nitrate leaching in deeper layers of soil where it pollutes groundwater and surface water. A key factor influencing the loss of nitrogen from the soil is the soil without crops (bare soil) and in the initial part of vegetation the loss of nitrogen from the soil is the consequence of lesser plant absorption. The problem of increased nitrate concentration in groundwater is recognized in most countries of the world and Europe where certain guidelines for the future have been issued. The measures have been taken and led to a reduction of nitrate concentration in groundwater by adding less nitrogen fertilizers to agricultural crops and in irrigation conditions, nitrate leaching can be reduced to a minimum by proper irrigation standards.
