Abstract
Engleski baset kratkonogi je pas koji pripada u VI FCI skupinu među pse goniče, a koriste se za „glasni“ lov na krupnu i dlakave vrste sitne divljači. Baseti su veliki psi, kratke dlake, dugog tijela te velikog repa. Odrasli pas teži između 20 i 35 kilograma, te su na glasu kao psi teških kostiju, za razliku od dosta drugih pasmina. Baseti su veoma tvrdoglavi, te zato treba uložiti puno pažnje i truda u njihovu obuku kako bi postali poslušan i marljiv pas.
Abstract (english)
The English Basset is a short-haired dog belonging to the VI FCI group among the hounds, and is used for "loud" hunting on large and thin species of game. The bassets are large dogs, with short hair, long bodies and a large tail. Adult dogs weigh between 20 and 35 kilograms, and are expressed as dogs of heavy bones, unlike many other breeds. Bassets are very stubborn, so you have to pay a lot of attention and effort in their training to become obedient and hard-working.
