Abstract
U ovom radu su spomenuti trendovi i sadašnje stanje u proizvodnji mesa u Republici Hrvatskoj i aktualni problemi koji pogađaju sektor za proizvodnju mesa. Analizirani su čimbenici koji utječu na sustav proizvodnje mesa i važnost poznavanja osnovnih odlika pasmina za odabir najbolje s obzirom na prilike i uvjete kojima raspolažemo. Navedene su i opisane osnovne karakteristike načina uzgoja goveda koja se mogu koristiti za proizvodnju mesa. Osvrt je stavljen i na mesne i kombinirane pasmine koje su trenutačno najbrojnije u Republici Hrvatskoj. Za kraj su obrađene nastambe za smještaj goveda i neke bolesti koje se mogu pojaviti tijekom uzgoja.
Abstract (english)
In this paper the trends and current state of meat production in the Republic of Croatia and current problems affecting the meat production sector are mentioned. The factors influencing the meat production system and the importance of knowing the basic characteristics of the breeds are analysed to choose the best given the opportunities and conditions at our disposal. The basic characteristics of the cultivation of bovine animals that can be used for meat production are listed and described. The review was also placed on meat and combination breeds which are currently the most numerous in the Republic of Croatia. For the end, the housing of cattle and some diseases that may occur during cultivation.
