Abstract	Govedarstvo je jedna od najznačajniji grana u svijetu pa tako i u Hrvatskoj. Sve je izraţeniji trend prelaska sa uzgoja mliječnih pasmina na kombinirane pasmine goveda odnosno uzgoj goveda za tov. Obiteljsko poljoprivredno gospodarstvo Balatinac se nalazi u mjestu Gajić u Osječko-baranjskoj ţupaniji. Raspolaţe sa 97 krava pasmine Limousin, te 3 rasplodna bika i oko 20 rasplodnih junica sa teladi. Rasplodne junice sluţe za remont stada i proširenje proizvodnje. Navedeno obiteljsko gospodarstvo uvozi, na svoju farmu, pasmine Limousin, Simentalac i Angus kako bi ih kriţali te dobili idealne potomke za proizvodnju u sustavu krava-tele, odnosno kriţance dobrih tovnih karakteristika. Ljeti borave na pašnjacima gdje slobodno pasu a zimi su pod poluotvorenim nadstrešnicama te se hrane kukuruznom silaţom, livadnim sijenom i sijenom lucerne.
Abstract (english)	Cattle breeding is one of the most important branches in the world, including in Croatia. There is an increasingly pronounced trend of transition from the breeding of dairy breeds to combined breeds of cattle, that is, the breeding of cattle for fattening. Family farm Balatinac is located in Gajić in Osijek-Baranja County. It has 97 cows of the Limousin breed, and 3 breeding bulls and about 20 breeding heifers with calves. Breeding heifers are used to repair the herd and expand production. The mentioned family farm imports the Limousin, Simmental and Angus breeds to its farm in order to cross them and get ideal offspring for production in the system calf cow, hybrids with good fattening characteristics. In summer they live on pastures where they graze freely and in winter they are under semi-open canopies and feed on corn silage, meadow hay and alfalfa hay.
