Abstract
Kada govorimo o proizvodnji hrane, suvremeno društvo sve veći naglasak pridaje ekološki održivom pristupu u proizvodnji. Ekološki pristup u proizvodnji, osim što se odnosi na način proizvodnje, odnosi se i na način i uvjete prilikom skladištenja i transporta namirnica, te odlaganja istih na prodajno mjesto. Kao jedan od ključnih problema prilikom skladištenja namirnica navode se štetnici koji smanjuju kvalitetu ili uništavaju uskladištenu robu. Najčešći štetnici koji djeluju na namirnice su grinje, insekti i glodavci. Iako kemijski sintetska sredstva sa nižom cijenom i većom dostupnošću imaju određenu prednost u tretiranju skladišnih kukaca, zbog sve većih saznanja o njihovoj štetnosti za okolinu i čovjeka, prisustvu reizdua, sve većom potrebom za hranom bez ostatka pesticida, u zadnje vrijeme se sve više pažnje posvećuje botaničkim insekticidima. Botanički insekticidi dobiveni iz biljaka imaju brojna svojstva kao što su insekticidne aktivnosti, repeletnost za pojedine štetnike, utjecaj na rast insekata, toksičnost za nematode, kao i na razne štetočine u poljoprivredi. Osim navedenih svojstava navode se i fungicidno, virucidno i baktericidno djelovanje.
Abstract (english)
When we are talking about food production in modern society we are putting more emphasis than ever on the ecologically sustainable approach in the production. Ecological approach in the production relates not only to the way of production, it also relates to the way and conditions during storing and transport of the products, and disposal to the selling spot. As one of the key problems during storing of agricultural products we consider pests which are lowering the quality or destroying stored merchandise. The most common pests that affect the products are insects, mites and rodents. Even though chemical synthetic resources with lower price and higher availability have the certain advantage in the treatment of storage insects, due to the new findings of their harmfulness to the environment and humans, presence of the residue, and growing need for the food without remains of pesticides, lately we are giving more attention to the botanical insecticides. Botanical insecticides that are coming from the plants have numerous properties like insecticidal activity, repellents for the individual parasites, influence on the growth of the insects, toxicity to the nematodes, as well as different kinds of pests in agriculture. Except for the listed properties there are also listed the fungicidal, virucidal and the bactericidal impact.
