Abstract
Teofrastov mračnjak (Abutilon theophrasti Medik.) invazivna je korovna vrsta u okopavinskim usjevima. Cilj istraživanja bio je utvrditi alelopatski utjecaj vodenih ekstrakata Teofrastovog mračnjaka na klijavost sjemena i početni rast klijanaca soje. U laboratorijskom pokusu u Petrijevim zdjelicama istražen je utjecaj vodenih ekstrakata od suhe nadzemne mase Teofrastovog mračnjaka u različitim koncentracijama (1 %, 2,5 %, 5 %, 10 %). Povećanjem koncentracije povećavao i negativni alelopatski utjecaj te je utvrđena značajna inhibicija duljine korijena i svježe mase klijanaca soje koji su bili smanjeni i do 69,9 % odnosno 23 %. S druge strane, nije zabilježeno statistički značajno djelovanje na klijavost sjemena, duljinu izdanka i suhu masu klijanaca soje.
Abstract (english)
Velvetleaf (Abutilon theophrasti Medik.) is an invasive weed species in numerous crops. The aim of the research was to determine the allelopathic effect of velvetleaf water extracts on seed germination and initial growth of soybean. Effect of water extracts from dry above-ground mass of velvetleaf in different concentrations (1%, 2.5%, 5%, 10%) was evaluated in a laboratory experiment in Petri dishes. The increase in extract concentration increased the negative allelopathic effect and significant inhibition of root length and fresh weight of soybean seedlings was found, with a reduction of up to 69.9% and 23.3%, respectively. On the other hand, a statistically significant effect on seed germination, shoot length, and dry weight of soybean seedlings was not observed.
