Abstract
Trčci (Carabidae) su porodica kukaca s više od 40 000 različitih vrsta. Uglavnom se ubrajaju u korisnu entomofaunu i poželjna je njihova prisutnost na poljoprivrednim staništima. Budući da se hrane mnogim štetnim za poljoprivredu životinjskim vrstama poželjno je očuvati njihova staništa. Jako su osjetljivi na promjene u okolišu, posebno na kemijska zaštitna sredstva pa su nam oni zapravo bioindikatori sustava u kojem se nalaze. Primjenom kemijskih sredstva njihova brojnost se jako smanjuje. Za svako stanište postoje tipične vrste trčaka koje tu obitavaju ovisno o biljnom pokrovu kojim je prekriven. Njihova značaj se jako naglašava kod bioloških mjera zaštite usjeva. U Hrvatskoj je utvrđeno 820 svojti međutim izrađen je i crveni popis na kojem se nalaze vrste koje su pred nestajanjem
Abstract (english)
Ground beetles are a family of insects with more than 40,000 different species. They are mainly useful insects and their presence in agricultural habitats is desirable. Since they feed on many harmful animal species in agriculture, it is desirable to maintain their habitats. They are very sensitive to enivoronmental changes, especially to pesticides use, so they are actually bioindicators and they show certain changes in target area. With the application of pesticides, their number is greatly reduced. For each habitat, there are typical species of ground beetles that live there, regardless of the vegetation cover. Their importance is strongly emphasized in biological crop protection measures. In Croatia, 820 taxa have been identified, but also a red list has been made, which includes endangered species in this area.
