Abstract
Cilj istraživanja diplomskog rada je prikupiti relevantne spoznaje o proizvodnji i skladištenju kukuruza za voluminoznu krmu te na temelju sinteze rezultata prethodnih istraživanja izvući najvažnije odrednice kao preporuke za suvremene uvjete. Silaža nadzemne mase kukuruza postala je u zadnjih 50-tak godina najzastupljenije voluminozno krmivo u hranidbi goveda, i to nakon omasovljenja tehnike konzerviranja siliranjem. Silaža kukuruza je glavni izvor energije u obrocima mliječnih goveda u Europi i Sjevernoj Americi. Razlog tomu jest visoki potencijal rodnosti, odnosno prinosa nadzemne mase ovoga usjeva u uvjetima umjerene klime i plodnoga tla, zatim uspješna konzervacija proizvedene voluminozne krme primjenom siliranja, visoka energetska vrijednost krme i zadovoljavajući sadržaj i kvaliteta vlakana. Silaža mora biti ispravno spremljena. To znači pravovremeno i djelotvorno provesti košnju nadzemne kukuruzne mase proizvedene za silažu i osigurati njeno djelotvorno i uspješno spremanje i čuvanje. Za spremanje i uskladištenje silažnog kukuruza koriste se objekti različite izvedbe, koji se zajednički nazivaju silosima.
Abstract (english)
The aim of the study is to gather relevant knowledge about the silage maize production and storage for voluminous feed and based on the synthesis of the results of previous research to extract the most important determinants as recommendations for modern conditions. In the last 50 years silage of the above-ground mass of corn has become the most common voluminous fodder in cattle feed, after the popularization of the technique of canning by ensiling. Corn silage is a major source of energy in dairy cattle diets in Europe and North America. The reason for this is the high yield potential, that is the yield of aboveground mass of this crop in temperate climate and fertile soil, the successful conservation of produced forage using ensiling, high energy value of feed and satisfactory fiber content and quality. Silage must be stored properly. This means carrying out the harvest of corn mass produced for silage in a timely and efficient manner and ensuring its efficient and successful storage and preservation. For saving and storage of silage maize, objects of different designs are used, which are collectively called silos.
