Abstract
Patlidžan (Solanum melongena L.) je jednogodišnja biljna vrsta iz porodice Solanaceae. Patlidžan se uzgaja zbog svojih jestivih plodova širom svijeta te se najčešće koristi u kulinarstvu. Može se uzgajati na otvorenom, ali zbog velikih zahtjeva za toplinom, najčešće se uzgaja u zaštićenim prostorima. Za uspješan uzgoj na otvorenome, treba barem pet mjeseci bez mraza i tri mjeseca sa prosječnom dnevnom temperaturom višom od 20 °C. Zbog povoljnih mikroklimatskih uvjeta i mjera njege, uzgoj u zaštićenim prostorima ostvaruje veći prinos i produžuje plodonošenje. Pogoduje mu duboko, srednje teško i strukturirano tlo i neutralne ph vrijednosti. Plamenjača je bolest koja nanosi najviše štete patlidžanu, a ne smijemo zaboraviti na: koncentričnu pjegavost, truljenje korijenovog vrata, uvenuće, bijelu trulež i pepelnicu. Tlo patlidžana mora biti neutralno do blago kiselo i bogato organskim tvarima. Berba se vrši škarama, te su prinosi od 30-60 t/ha.
Abstract (english)
Eggplant (Solanum melongena L.) is an annual plant species from the family Solanaceae. Eggplant is grown for its edible fruit around the world and is most commonly used in cooking. It can be grown outdoors but due to high heat requirements, it is most often grown in sheltered areas. For successful outdoor cultivation, it takes at least five months without frost and three months with an average daily temperature higher than 20 °C. Due to favorable microclimatic conditions and care measures, cultivation in protected areas achieves higher yields and prolongs fruiting. It is favored by deep, medium and structured soils and neutral pH value. Flamingo is the disease that causes the most damage to eggplant, and we must not forget about: concentric spotting, root neck gangrene, wilting, white rot and powdery mildew. Eggplant soil must be neutral to slightly acidic and rich in organic matter. Harvesting is done with scissors, and the yield is 30-60 t/ha.
