Abstract
Biougljen je čvrsta tvar koja se dobiva zagrijavanjem organskih materijala u odsutnošću ili s malom koncentracijom kisika procesom koji se zove piroliza. U svome sastavu sadrži veliki količinu ugljika koja može varirati o sirovini od koje je dobiven biougljen. Inkorporacijom biougljena u tlo povećavamo pH tla, smanjujemo nagle promjene u rastu i padu pH, povećavamo KIK i sadržaj organske tvari u tlu, te pružamo stanište raznim mikroorganizmima. Zahvaljujući svojoj poroznosti biougljen poboljšava teksturu tla, pomaže u zadržavanju vode i hranjiva i poboljšava aeraciju tla. Uz sve navedeno i još njegova jeftina i jednostavna proizvodnja koja se može odvijati na vlastitom gospodarstvu ga čini idealni dodatkom u gnojidbi u ekološkoj poljoprivrednoj proizvodnji. Potrebna su još dodatna istraživanja oko pravilnog načina primjene biougljena kako bi se mogla izvući što veća njegova korist u ekološkoj poljoprivrednoj proizvodnji.
Abstract (english)
Biochar is a solid substance obtained by heating organic materials in the absence of with a low concentration of oxygen through a process called pyrolysis. It contains a large amount of carbon in its composition, which can vary depending on the raw material from which the biochar was obtained. By incorporating biochar into the soil, we increase the pH of the soil, reduce sudden changes in the growth and decline of pH, increase the KIK and the content of organic matter in the soil, and provide a habitat for various microorganisms. Thanks to its porosity, biochar improves soil texture, helps retain water and nourishes and improves soil aeration. In addition to all the above, its cheap and simple production that can be carried out on one’s own farm makes it an ideal addition to fertilization in ecological agricultural production. Additional research is needed on the correct way of applying biochar to be able to extract the greatest benefit from it in ecological agricultural production.
