Abstract
Ruža ( Rosa sp.) je ukrasna biljka istoimene porodice ruža (Rosaceae), smatra se najstarijim cvijećem na Zemlji. U Kini se uzgajala prije 5000 godina, no tek je u 18. stoljeću dospjela u Europu. Pri uzgoju ruža važno je znati osnovne mjere zaštite i očuvanja kako bi pojava bolesti bila što manja. Neke od najčešćih bolesti koje zahvaćaju ruže su: hrđa, pepelnica, plamenjača, siva plijesan i crna pjegavost. Kako bi se spriječile bolesti primjenjuju se preventivne i kurativne mjere. Preventivne mjere obuhvaćaju redovitu gnojidbu, orezivanje i uništavanje uzročnika bolesti dok kurativne mjere obuhvaćaju primjenu fungicida kad je bolest već utvrđena. U konačnici pri uzgoju ruže treba birati što otpornije i kvalitetnije sorte kako bi bolesti bile što manje prisutne.
Abstract (english)
Rose (Rosa sp.) is a decorative plant of the same name families of roses (Rosaceae), it is considered one of the oldest flowers on Earth. It was cultivated in China 5000 years ago, but only in 18th century it arrived to Europe. When growing roses, it is important to know the basic protection and preservation measures so that the occurrence of the disease is as small as possible. Some of the most common diseases which afflict roses are: rust, powdery mildew, blight, gray mold and black spot. In order to prevent diseases, preventive and curative measures are applied. Preventive measures include regular fertilization, pruning and destruction of the causative agent of the disease, while curative measures include the use of fungicides when the disease has already been established.In the end, when growing roses, you should choose the most resistant and high-quality varieties so that diseases are present as little as possible.
