Abstract | U ovom radu su opisane vrste aloe te njihova ljekovita svojstva i karakteristike. Prvi dio rada analizira neke od vrsta iz roda aloe dok se drugi dio rada bavi karakteristikama i ljekovitim svojstvima ove poznate i rasprostranjene biljke. Danas je poznato da u svijetu postoji više od 500 vrsti ove čudotvorne biljke koja ima niz ljekovitih svojstava. Upotreba aloe u ljekovite svrhe zabilježena je 2200 god. Pr. Kr. Do danas su provedena razna istraživanja o ljekovitosti ove biljke te je dokazano da pomaže kod kožnih oboljenja, problema s probavom dok se još utvrđuju i istražuju učinci kod oboljelih od dijabetesa i drugih težih oboljenja. Neke vrste aloe koriste se i u prehrani dok je najveća upotreba ove biljke u kozmetici. Osim u ljekovite svrhe aloe, sa svojim svijetlim cvjetovima, dramatičnim oblicima i sposobnošću da izdrži uvjete niske razine vode, vrlo su popularne ukrasne biljke. Iako postoje i otrovne vrste te su zabilježene i nuspojave od upotrebe aloe, neupitna je njezina ljekovitost i sastav. Abstract (english) | This paper describes the types of aloe and their medicinal properties and characteristics. The first part of the paper analyzes some of the species from the aloe genus, while the second part deals with the characteristics and medicinal properties of this well-known and widespread plant. Today, it is known that there are more than 500 species of this miraculous plant in the world, which has a number of medicinal properties. The use of aloe for medicinal purposes has been recorded for 2200 years. Pr. Kr. To date, various studies have been carried out on the medicinal properties of this plant and it has been proven that it helps with skin diseases, problems with checking, while the effects in patients with diabetes and other serious diseases are still being determined and investigated. Some types of aloe are also used in food, while the biggest use of this plant is in cosmetics. In addition to medicinal uses, aloes, with their bright flowers, dramatic shapes and ability to sustain low water conditions, are very popular ornamental plants. Although there are poisonous species and side effects from the use of aloe have been recorded, its medicinal properties and composition are unquestionable. Namely, some types of aloe contain as many as 75 active compounds such as vitamins, minerals, enzymes, fatty acids, sugar and other medicinal ingredients. |
