Abstract
Tema ovoga završnoga rada jest izbor i obuka pasa za pronalaženje minsko eksplozivnih sredstava. Pri izboru psa postoji više čimbenika na koje treba obratiti pozornost, a čine ih: pasmina, odabir šteneta čiji roditelji imaju rezultate u radu i urođene psihofizičke osobine poput karaktera i temperamenta koji se mogu uočiti već pri najranijoj dobi, kako bi bili u mogućnosti uspješno završiti obuku i biti operativan pas za pronalaženje minsko eksplozivnih sredstava. Nakon odabira šteneta slijedi obuka koja se pažljivo provodi ovisno o dobi psa pa se isto tako može podjeliti na socijalizaciju i obuku poslušnosti, kvalifikacijsku obuku, prekvalifikacijsku obuku i obuku osvježenja nakon čega slijedi licenciranje. Licenca se obnavlja svakih 6 do 12 mjeseci te se pas otprilike nakon navršenih 8 godina umirovljava.
Abstract (english)
The topic of this final thesis is the selection and training of dogs for mine and explosive detection. When choosing a dog, there are several factors to consider, including breed, selecting a puppy whose parents have working results, and inherent psychophysical traits such as character and temperament that can be observed from an early age. These traits are important for successfully completing training and becoming an operational explosive detection dog. After selecting a puppy, the training process begins, carefully tailored to the dog's age. It can be divided into socialization and obedience training, qualification training, requalification training, and refresher training, followed by certification. The certification is renewed every 6 to 12 months, and the dog is typically retired around the age of 8 after completing its service.
