Abstract
Divizma, ili Verbascum, predstavlja korovnu biljku koja se često može vidjeti uz rubove cesta, livada, šumskih čistina te na nepristupačnim industrijskim područjima. Ova biljka obuhvaća jednogodišnje, dvogodišnje biljke i trajnice te je prepoznatljiva po baršunastim listovima s dlačicama koji formiraju rozetu tijekom prve godine rasta. U drugoj godini, izdiže se cvjetna stapka s preko stotinu malih cvjetova u racemoznim cvatovima, često žute, ali mogu biti i ljubičaste ili bijele boje. Divizma se uzgaja zbog svojih ljekovitih svojstava i hortikulturalne vrijednosti, a zahtijeva dobro drenirano tlo na sunčanom mjestu, pri čemu nije zahtjevna za održavanje. Tolerantna je na sušu i može preživjeti nepovoljna razdoblja zahvaljujući sposobnosti dormantnosti sjemena. Ova biljka ima široku primjenu u izradi biljnih lijekova za liječenje respiratornih bolesti poput kašlja, astme, bronhitisa i pleuritisa. Najčešći proizvodi su čajevi od lišća i osušenih cvjetova divizme koji također pomažu kod probavnih problema. Ulje divizme je korisno za upale uha zbog svojih protuupalnih svojstava. Također, koristi se za liječenje kožnih upala, rana i osipa. Zahvaljujući novim spoznajama o biološki aktivnim spojevima i tradicionalnim znanjima iz narodne medicine, divizma je postala cijenjena biljka koja pruža raznolike proizvode za očuvanje zdravlja ljudi.
Abstract (english)
Divizma, or Verbascum, is a common weed plant that can often be seen along the edges of roads, meadows, forest clearings and in inaccessible industrial areas. This plant includes annuals, biennials and perennials and is recognizable by its velvety leaves with hairs that form a rosette during the first year of growth. In the second year, a flower stalk rises with over a hundred small flowers in racemose inflorescences, often yellow, but they can also be purple or white. Divizma is grown for its medicinal properties and horticultural value, and requires well-drained soil in a sunny location, and is not demanding on maintenance. It is drought tolerant and can survive unfavorable periods thanks to the ability of seed dormancy. This plant is widely used in the preparation of herbal medicines for the treatment of respiratory diseases such as cough, asthma, bronchitis and pleurisy. The most common products are teas made from mulberry leaves and dried flowers, which also help with digestive problems. Evening primrose oil is useful for ear infections due to its anti-inflammatory properties. It is also used to treat skin inflammations, wounds and rashes. Thanks to new knowledge about biologically active compounds and traditional knowledge from folk medicine, mullein has become a valued plant that provides a variety of products for the preservation of human health.
