Abstract
Pšenica (Triticum aestivum L.) je samooplodna žitarica iz porodice trava (Poaceae). Pripada najstarijim kulturnim vrstama te ima širok areal rasprostranjenosti. Najznačajnija je za prehrambenoj industriji, ali i za industriju alkohola te stočnu industriju u kojoj se koristi kao stočna hrana. U svijetu se uzgaja na oko 220 milijuna hektara, a u Hrvatskoj na oko 147 000 hektara.
Abstract (english)
(Triticum aestivum L.) is a self-fertilizing cereal from the grass family (Poaceae). It belongs to the oldest cultural species and has a great distribution area. It is the most significant in the food industry but also for the alcohol and animal industry as animal feed. About 220 million hectares are cultivated around the world and around 147 000 hectares in Croatia.
