Abstract
Šećerna repa (Beta vulgaris L. subsp. vulgaris var. altissima) je biljka čiji se korijen koristi za proizvodnju šećera. U ovom radu istraživan je utjecaj vremenskih prilika na prinos i kvalitetu šećerne repe. U osmogodišnjem razdoblju (2006.-2013.) najveći prinos ostvaren je u 2008. godini (57,7 t/ha), a najmanji prinos zabilježen je u 2012. godini (39,1 t/ha). U Republici Hrvatskoj postoje tri šećerane i to: Tvornica šećera Osijek d.o.o. (u Osijeku), Sladoranad.d. (u Županji) i Viro d.d. (u Virovitici). U osmogodišnjem razdoblju godina sa najvećom količinom oborina bila je 2010. kada je pala rekordno velika količina oborina (u Bjelovaru čak 1222,8 mm), a najsušnija godina bila je 2011. (Bjelovar – 388 mm). U svim analiziranim godinama (2006.-2013.) temperatura je bila viša od višegodišnjeg prosjeka (1961.-1990.) i od potreba šećerne repe za toplinom.
Abstract (english)
Sugar beet (Beta vulgaris L. subsp. vulgaris var. altissima) is a plant whose root is used for the production of sugar. In this research we study the impact of weather conditions on the yield and quality of sugar beet. In these eight years (2006-2013) the greatest yield was recorded in 2008 (57,7 t/ha), and the lowest yield was recorded in 2012 (39,1 t/ha). In the Republic of Croatia there are three sugar factories, namely: Tvornica šećera Osijek d.o.o. Osijek (in Osijek), Sladorana d. d. (in Županja) and Viro d. d. (in Virovitica). In these eight years, the highest rainfall was in 2010 with the record amount of rainfall (in Bjelovar even 1222,8 mm), and the driest year was 2011 (Bjelovar – 388 mm). During these years (2006-2013), the temperature was higher than the long-term mean (1961 to 1990) and exceeded the need of the sugar beet for growth.
