The subject of this final work was to analyze and determine the financial markets in Croatia, with an emphasis on money market and stock. At the heart of the financial system are the financial markets and it determines the amount of available loans, attracting savings and with the supply and demand determine the interest rate and the price of securities. The development to which financial markets and institutions in the Republic of Croatia in accordance with its level of economic development. Developed banking system is dominated by the Croatian financial system has remained underdeveloped money market, capital market and other financial institutions. The most important division of the market is that the money market and capital market, which are based on the maturity of the instruments with which they are traded on. The money market is a channel for the exchange of non-cash financial assets for money. Shares have an ownership interest in certain joint stock company that give the holder the number of important rights, but also some risks. We distinguish between regular or ordinary shares and preference or priority shares. Organized securities market called stock exchanges where it is a single entity. Zagreb Stock Exchange is a center for the purchase or sale of securities in the Republic of Croatia. For 25 years Zagreb Stock Exchange setting trends in the development of regional capital markets, allowing transparent, secure, efficient and sustainable trade in securities and maintaining the highest quality of services to the capital market to meet the needs of shareholders, investors, issuers, members and all interested parties.
