Abstract
U ovom radu opisane su morfološke karakteristike biljke Sequoiadendron giganteum Lindl.., kao i njezin značaj u parkovnoj arhitekturi Hrvatske te njezinog relativno laganog kultiviranja u parkovnu arhitekturu. Izrazito je adaptilna biljka za naše podneblje jer je prapovijesno i sama bila uobičajna biljka ovog podneblja. Hrvatska ima izrazito stari primjerak Sequoiadendron giganteum Lindl.. koji se nalazi u Slatini i trebalo bi težiti njegovom očuvanju.
Abstract (english)
This paper describes the morphological characteristics of plants Sequoiadendron giganteum L., as well as its significance in the park architecture of Croatian and its relatively easy cultivation in landscape architecture. It is extremely flexibile plant for our region since prehistoric itself were common plant in this region. Croatia has a distinct old sample of Sequoiadendron giganteum Lindl.. located in Slatina, and we should strive for its preservation
