Abstract
Kukuruz (Zea mays L.) predstavlja jednu od najzastupljenijih ratarskih kultura u Republici Hrvatskoj. Korovi kukuruzu nanose velike štete oduzimajući mu vodu, hraniva, svjetlo te vegetacijski prostor. Predstavljaju vrlo važan ekonomski i ekološki čimbenik u proizvodnji kukuruza, a zakorovljenost može uzrokovati prosječno smanjenje prinosa do 50%. Korovna flora kukuruza tipična je okopavinska. U ovom radu prikazana je podjela korova prema različitim kriterijima, istaknute su štete koje korovi uzrokuju ali i koristi od korova. Cilj rada bio je prikazati mogućnosti kontrole korova u kukuruzu koja je složen zadatak. Opisane su preventivne i direktne mjere kontrole zakorovljenosti
Abstract (english)
Maize (Zea mays L.) represent one of the most common field crop in Croatia. Weeds are causing a significant damage in maize by competition for light, plant nutrient and vegetation space. Weeds represents very important economic and ecological factor in maize production and may lead to significant decrease in maize yield, even to 50%. Tipical weed flora is usually dominant in maize fields. This paper describes a classification of weeds according to different criteria with emphasis on damages caused by weeds. The aim of this work was to point out the possibilities of weed control in maize which is not an easy task. The paper describes preventive, cultural and directly measures of weeds management.
