Abstract
Pomorski promet povezuje različita tržišta diljem svijeta. Uz povećanje gustoće pomorskog prometa, sve je veća opasnost od uljnog onečišćenja s brodova, iz uobičajenih brodskih operacija ili uzrokovanog nezgodama. Različite konvencije izdane od strane najviših pomorskih organizacija uređuju pravila kojima se podiže minimalni sigurnosni standard te navode obilježja brodskih sustava koji u svezi jedno s drugim, te čovjekom kao pokretačem djeluju u zajedničkom dugogodišnjem cilju povećanja ekonomske iskoristivosti brodova uz istodobno povećanje sigurnosti plovidbe i smanjenje mogućnosti onečišćenja mora uljima. Ukoliko do onečišćenja dođe, razvijaju se sve modernije tehnologije čišćenja i razvija se globalna svijest brige o okolišu.
Abstract (english)
Maritime traffic connects different markets around the world. Along with increasing maritime traffic density, there is an increasing risk of oil pollution from ships, from ordinary ship operations or due to accidents. Different Conventions issued by the highest maritime organizations regulate the rules that raise the minimum safety standard and state the characteristics of marine systems that interact with each other, lead by man as an initiator in the common long – term goal of increasing economic profitability while increasing the safety of navigation and reducing the potential for pollution of the sea from ships. If pollution is inevitable, more modern cleaning technologies are being developed from the ones in history and a global awareness of enviromental concernes is being generated.
