Abstract
U ovome radu obrađena je tematika FSRU brodova, odnosno brodova koji obavljaju skladištenje i regasifikaciju ukapljenoga prirodnog plina (LNG-a), tereta koji je u današnjim globalnim okvirima izrazito zastupljen u svjetskoj pomorskoj trgovini. FSRU tehnologija iznimno je važna karika u lancu LNG industrije. Ovaj tip brodova zbog svojih posebnih karakteristika omogućuje otvaranje novih tržišta i širenje industrije na područja koja iz raznih razloga dosada nisu bila zahvaćena opskrbnim rutama. Brod se zbog načina iskorištavanja naziva još i plutajućim uvoznim LNG terminalom, no bitno je naglasiti da je u suštini i dalje riječ upravo o brodu. Temi se pristupa na način da je obrađen tehničko-tehnološki aspekt FSRU brodova te je analizirano današnje stanje tržišta ovih brodova, ali i tržište uvoza LNG-a općenito, što je od ključne važnosti za kvalitetno razumijevanje cjelokupnog sadržaja ovoga završnog rada.
Abstract (english)
In this paper, the main topic of research is FSRU technology. FSRU vessels are a special type of vessels which are used as a storage and regasification units in the process of liquefied natural gas (LNG) production and distribution. This type of vessels played a major role in expanding into new markets and growth of the LNG industry. FSRU vessels made possible to distribute LNG to the places which, for many various reasons, were not yet included in the global LNG supply chains. Due to the nature of its exploitation, this vessel is often referred to as a floating LNG terminal, but it is important to note that this is actually a vessel. There are two key aspects of research in this paper. First one is the technology of the FSRU vessels, and second one is the market analysis of both this specific vessel type, and LNG import market in general, which is of crucial value for good understanding of this entire final paper.
