Abstract
Činjenica je da je čovjeku prijekopotrebna nafta i njeni derivati iz razloga što svaka tvornica, bilo kakvog tipa, koristi naftu kao pogonsko sredstvo barem svojih prijevoznih sredstava i kao rezultat proizlazi da trenutno ne postoji mogućnost da svijet nastavi funkcionirati samo s električnom energijom. Postoji mnogo zemalja u svijetu koje im je more jedini izvor zarade, poput Republike Hrvatske, a isto tako jedini izvor hrane, poput zemalja Indokine, prema tome, prema moru se treba odnositi odgovorno, a ne ga uništavati u svakoj prilici. U ovom radu je obrađena tema o odgovornosti brodara u vezi morskog okoliša i koje su kazne za onečišćenje okoliša, odnosno naknade propisane konvencijama koje su osnovane kako bi brodari, brodovlasnici, zapovjednici i ostali slijedili pravila o visini odgovornosti. Glavna svrha nastanka tih konvencija jest poticanje brodara na veću pažnju prema okolišu, te poštenim naknadama štete osobama koje su pretrpjele štetu.
Abstract (english)
The fact is that a man needs oil and its derivatives to much because every factory, of any type, uses oil for propulsion for, at least, its transport system, so at the moment, there is no possibility that the world continues to function only with electricity. There are many countries in the world that the sea is their only source of income, such as Croatia, and also only source of food, such as states in Indochina. Accordingly, the sea should be treated responsibly and not destroying it at every opportunity. This paper examines the issue of responsibility of the shipowner toward marine environment and what are the penalties for environmental pollution, or compensations prescribed by conventions that have been established to shippers, shipowners, captains and others that must follow the rules about the extent of responsibility. The main purpose of formation of these conventions is to encourage shipowners or/and shippers for greater attention for the environment and fair compensations to persons who have sufferd damage.
