Abstract
Luka je mjesto na kojem brodovi iskrcavaju i ukrcavaju putnike i robu i na kojem se susreću sredstva pomorskog i kopnenog prometa. Morske luke imaju izuzetno bitnu ulogu za gospodarski razvitak Republike Hrvatske. Strategija od 2014. do 2020. bitno će pomoći jačanju uloge pomorstva u razvoju i konkurentnosti Republike Hrvatske kroz politike i inicijative održivog rasta gospodarske aktivnosti na moru i u priobalju. Iznimno je bitno ojačati utjecaj hrvatskog pomorskog sektora na europskom i svjetskom tržištu što je ostvarivo s obzirom na geografski položaj Jadranskog mora i njegove ekološke značajke. U luke Jadranskog mora svake godine pristižu brodovi sve veće tonaže i prijevoznog kapaciteta što je pozitivan pokazatelj. Luka Rijeka i luka Ploče najistaknutije su luke Jadrana opredijeljene za teretni promet, dok luka Split i luka Dubrovnik imaju najveći broj pristiglih putnika među lukama Jadrana.
Abstract (english)
The port is a small place on which ships load and unload passengers and goods and on which they meet resources of sea and land traffic. Sea ports have extremely important role for economic development of Republic of Croatia. Strategy 2014. to 2020. will significantly help to strengthen role of Maritime in development and competitiveness of Republic of Croatia trough policy and initiative in sustaining growth of economic activity on the sea and on the coast. It’s extremely important to strengthen effect of Croatian sea sector on European and worlds market as achievable considering the geographic position of the Adriatic Sea and he’s environmental characteristics. In the sea ports of Adriatic Sea ships with bigger tonnages and transport capacities are starting to arrive each year which is positive indicator. The port of Rijeka and Ploče port are the most prominent ports of the Adriatic determined for cargo traffic, while port of Split and port of Dubrovnik have the biggest number of arriving passengers among the ports of the Adriatic.
