Abstract
Svjetsko pomorsko tržište se dijeli na tri tipa tržišta, a to su tržište linijskog brodarstva, tržište slobodnog brodarstva i tržište tankerskog brodarstva. Tankersko brodarstvo se bavi prijevozom tekućim tereta brodovima koji se nazivaju tankeri. Prema vrsti tereta koji se prevozi tankersko brodarstvo se dijeli na prijevoz sirove nafte, prijevoz naftnih produkata, prijevoz kemikalija te prijevoz ukapljenih plinova. Osnovne značajke tankerskog tržišta su ponuda i potražnja koje ovise o raznim čimbenicima od kojih su najznačajniji svjetska ekonomija, prijevoz roba morem, svjetska flota, produktivnost flote, novogradnja, tržište rezališta brodova, vozarine i troškovi prijevoza te određeni šokovi kao što su ratovi, ekonomske krize, klimatske nepogode itd. Tankersko tržište je usko povezano s naftnom industrijom. Trenutno jedino tržište tankerskog brodarstva ima pozitivan trend rasta i razvoja ponajviše zbog stabilnog rasta svjetskog gospodarstva, rasta cijena nafte te održavanje relativne stabilnosti naftnog tržišta.
