Abstract
U ovom završnom radu detaljno se opisuju pomorske nezgode. Navedene su definicije pomorskih nezgoda različitih autora i njihove osnovne karakteristike. Posebna pozornost je usmjerena na uzroke, ali i posljedice koje prethode odnosno slijede prije i nakon što se pomorska nezgoda dogodi. Prikazana je veza između uzroka i posljedica. Definirana je strukturalna podjela pomorskih nezgoda i vrste nezgoda te su opisane neke od najznačajnijih pomorskih havarija. U zadnjem dijelu rada dane su smjernice koje bi mogle spriječiti nastanak nesreća na moru. Rad je fokusiran na pomorske nezgode te je smisao rada na temelju teorije i prakse doći do određenih zaključaka. Na temelju svih iznesenih činjenica i primjera nameće se zaključak kako su pomorske nezgode izvanredan i nepoželjan događaj na moru koji predstavlja svojevrsnu grešku u sustavu pomorstva. Međutim, zbog mnogobrojnih uzroka havarije se nikada neće u potpunosti eliminirati, ali je moguće adekvatnim preventivnim mjerama spriječiti mogućnost njihove pojave.
Abstract (english)
This thesis describes maritime accidents in detail. There are listed definitions of maritime accidents and their characteristics by different authors. Special focus is directed on causes but also on consequences that precede or follow before and after maritime accident occurs. The relations between causes and consequences are shown. The structural division of maritime accidents and types of accidents have been defined and also some of the most significant maritime accidents have been described. In the last part of thesis were given guidelines which can prevent occurence of accidents on the sea. Thesis is focused on maritime accidents, and main meaning of this thesis is that maritime accidents are extraordinary and undesirable event on the sea that present sort of error in maritime system. However, because of many causes maritime accidents would never be fully eliminated but is possible to forestall possibility of their appearance by adequate preventive measures.
