Abstract
Riječima mnogih stručnjaka kriptovalute su jedan od najbitnijih izuma ovoga stoljeća. Od 2009. godine kada je predstavljen ovaj globalni fenomen kriptovalute bilježe stalan rast kako u broju korisnika tako i u mogućnostima primjene. Kao i kod svake nove tehnologije mišljenja su podijeljena oko kriptovaluta, no nitko ne osporava znatan utjecaj koji je imala ova tehnologija imala na međunarodno poslovanje zadnjih godina. Cilj ovog rada je pojasniti princip rada kriptovaluta te istražiti njihovu trenutnu i potencijalnu primjenu u elektroničkom poslovanju. U prvom dijelu pričat će se o samom nastanku kriptovaluta i o svim vrstama koje postoje. Drugo i treće poglavlje pojašnjavaju princip rada čitavog sistema kriptovaluta. Dok se posljednji dio rada bavi realnom primjenom tehnologije te potencijalnim mogućnostima.
Abstract (english)
In the words of many experts, cryptocurrencies are one of the most important inventions of this century. Since 2009, when this global phenomenon of cryptocurrency was introduced, it has been steadily growing both in the number of users and in its capabilities. As with any new technology, opinions are divided about cryptocurrency, but no one disputes the significant impact this technology has had on international business in recent years. The aim of this paper is to clarify the working principle of cryptocurrencies and to explore their current and potential application in e-commerce. The first part will talk about the very introduction of cryptocurrency and all the different types that exist. The second and third chapters explain how the entire cryptocurrency system works. While the last part of the paper deals with the realistic application of technology and potential opportunities.
