Abstract
Prema riječima mnogih vodećih stručnjaka, blockchain tehnologija jedna je od najvažnijih tehnoloških inovacija u 21. stoljeću. Kao i kod svake nove tehnologije, mišljenja su podijeljena, ali učinak je neosporiv. Cilj završnog rada je razjasniti princip rada blockchain tehnologije i mogućnosti njene primjene u području pomorstva. Dalje se ispituje koliko je realna upotreba blockchain rješenja općenito u industriji i u kojem vremenskom okviru se može očekivati široka penetracija srodnih prometnih mreža. Prvi i drugi dio odnose se na razumijevanje blockchain tehnologije i kako doprinosi boljem rješenju u smislu decentralizacije, sigurnosti i skalabilnosti. Dok se u trećem dijelu govori o točnoj primjeni ovih prednosti u pomorskom sektoru i načine na koji doprinose na primjeru najvećeg blockchain projekta u pomorskoj industriji - tradelens.
Abstract (english)
By the words of many leading experts, blockchain technology is one of the most important technology innovations in the 21st century. As with new technology, opinions are divided but the impact made is, in fact undeniable. The aim of this thesis is to clarify the working principle of the blockchain technology and its application potentials of blockchain technology in the field of maritime logistics. It is further assessed how realistic the use of a blockchain solution in this industry is in general and in which time frame a wide penetration in related transportation networks and supply chains can be expected. The first and second part are about understanding blockchain technology, and how does it contribute to a better solution in the means of decentralization, security and scalability. While the third part is more about the exact application of these perks to the maritime sector and the ways contributing on the example on the biggest blockchain project in the maritime industry - tradelens.
