Abstract
U ovom radu obrađuju se tematika kontejnerskih brodova, od samih početaka do danas. Pojasniti će se ideja vizionara Malcoma McLeana, kao i njena realizacije. Zatim će se razjasniti pojam kontejnerskog broda i pojedinačno će se analizirati vrste kontejnerskih brodova. Prikazat će se razvoj kontejnerskih brodova po generacijama, kao i tehnologiju koju koriste. Također ćemo se osvrnuti na budućnost kontejnerskog brodarstva, tj. pretpostavku kako bi mogla izgledati, već znanim činjenicama. Imat ćemo uvid u razne vrste kontejnera koje koristimo za transport. Također ćemo razmotriti trenutno stanje svjetske flote kontejnerskih brodova. Te navesti trenutno najveće kontejnerske brodove.
Abstract (english)
In this document we will discuss about container vessels, from the very beginning to the present day. The idea of Malcom McLean will be explained, as well as his realization. The term of container vessel will be clarified and we will analyze types of container vessels. Development of container vessels will be shown by generations, as well as technology they use. We will try to assume how the future of container shipping will be by already known facts. Different types of containers which we use for transport will be listed. Also, the current state of world fleet container vessels will be considered, and for the end there will be a list of currently biggest container vessels.
