Abstract
Da bi brodski motori, kao i bilo koji drugi motor s unutarnjim izgaranjem, radio pravilno i imao dugi životni vijek, potrebni su ležajevi. Za smanjenje trenja i pravilan rad ležaja koriste se ulja i masti za podmazivanje. Ležajeve je potrebno održavati i pravovremeno mijenjati da ne bi došlo do oštećenja samog ležaja ili zaribavanja nekog drugog dijela motora što bi prouzročilo puno veći trošak. Ležajevi se dijele na klizne i valjne. Klizni ležajevi se koriste na brodskim motorima. Dva najvažnija ležaja brodskog motora su temeljni i leteći ležaj, no uz njih postoje još ležaj klipnjače i odrivni ležaj. Za praćenje istrošenosti i temperature ležajeva koriste se dva sustava koja rade zajedno, a to su sustav na nadzor istrošenosti ležajeva i sustav za nadzor temperature ležajeva.
Abstract (english)
Just like for any other internal combustion engine, for marine engine to work properly and to extent its' life span, it is importat for it to contain bearings. To secure bearings' proper operation and to reduce friction during it, oils and fats are used as a means of lubrication. Bearings need to be mainteined and replaced in a timely manner to avoid damaging of the bearing or destruction of other parts of the engine, which would cause even bigger expenses. Bearings are divided into two groups: sliding bearings, which are used in marine engines, and roller bearings. The two main bearings of marine engines are main bearing and crankpin bearing, but in marine engines, connecting rod bearings and thrust bearings are also used To monitor wear and temperature of bearing, two together working systems are used: bearing wear monitoring system and bearing temperature monitoring system.
