Abstract
U povijesti brodarstva, 1956. godina i prenamijenjen tanker Ideal X predstavljaju svojevrsnu revoluciju u prijevozu suhog tereta morem. Slaganjem tereta u kontejnere i njihovim prijevozom morem započela je era razvoja posebne grane brodarstva. Kontejnersko brodarstvo svake godine probija rekorde u količini prevezenog tereta, TEU-ima. Povećani trend rasta prometa odražava se na rast globalne kontejnerske flote, ali i razvoj lučke infrastrukture i logistike. Dimenzije kontejnerskih brodova rasle su gotovo iz godine u godinu te su za sada najveći konstruirani brodovi duljine do 400 metara, širine 60 metara te nosivosti između 20 000 i 24 000 TEU-a, što predstavlja s manevarskog aspekta i mogućnosti prilaska terminalima otegotne okolnosti budući da se lučka infrastruktura ne razvija podjednakom brzinom. Naglasak na očuvanju okoliša i smanjivanju emisija štetnih plinova doveli su do ugradnje novih, ekološki prihvatljivijih pogona (LNG pogon) na suvremenim kontejnerskim brodovima.
Abstract (english)
In the history of shipping, 1956 and repurposed tanker Ideal X represent revolution in the transport of dry cargo by sea. The era of the development of a special branch of container shipping began by cargo stowage in containers and their transport by sea. Every year, container shipping breaks records in the amount of transported cargo, TEUs. The increased growth trend of traffic is reflected in the growth of the global container fleet and the development of port infrastructure and logistics. The dimensions of container ships have rapidly grown. The biggest constructed container vessels are 400m in length, 60m wide and capacity between 20 000 and 24 000 TEUs. That trend causes problems with manoeuvrability and port approaching because the port infrastracture is not developed enough. Environmental protection and reducing gas emissions caused the use of new ship powered systems as LNG plant.
