Abstract
U ovome se radu pobliže istražuje uloga i značaj informacijskih i komunikacijskih tehnologija te informacijskih sustava, a posebice Port Community System-a u razvoju i povećanju konkurentnosti morskih teretnih luka te poslovnog procesa unutar istih. Lučka zajednica, odnosno lučki poslovni sustav sastoji se od velikog broja različitih dionika. Kako bi lučki sustav bio konkurentan i efikasan, dobra komunikacija i razmjena informacija između tih dionika, kao i kvalitetna optimizacija poslovnog procesa u luci, od ključne su važnosti. Mnoge luke, uključujući luku Rijeka, imaju dislocirane lučke terminale i više različitih informacijskih sustava u vlasništvu pojedinih dionika lučkog procesa koji su međusobno nepovezani. Takva situacija dovodi do loše i neefikasne razmjene informacija u lučkom poslovnom procesu, a samim time i do nekonkurentnog poslovanja. U radu je definiran i objašnjen Port Community System, informacijski sustav koji služi za digitalizaciju i optimizaciju poslovanja neke luke. Objašnjen je i projekt implementacije PCS-a u riječku luku.
Abstract (english)
This thesis explores the role and importance of information and communication technology, information systems, and particularly, the Port Community System in the development and increase of competitiveness of sea freight ports and the business process within them. The port community, i.e. the port business system, consists of a large number of different stakeholders. In order for the port system to be competitive and efficient, good communication and exchange of information between these stakeholders are crucial, as well as optimizing the quality of the business process in the port. Many ports, including the Port of Rijeka, have dislocated port terminals and several different information systems owned by individual stakeholders in the port process which are not connected to each other. Such a situation leads to a poor and inefficient exchange of information in the port business process, and thus to non-competitive business. This paper defines and explains the Port Community System, an information system that serves to digitize and optimize the operations of a port, as well as the project of PCS implementation in the Port of Rijeka.
