Abstract | Ovaj rad opisuje „Turbo-Brayton“-ov sustav kao vrstu pothlađivanja, točnije ukapljivanja prirodnog plina, „LNG“ (eng. "Liquefied Natural Gas") tereta na istoimenim brodovima. Svrha ovog rada jest dati jasnu predodžbu o „Turbo-Brayton“ načinu pothlađivanja prirodnog plina i to kroz njegove sastavne dijelove, rukovanje istima te upravljanje sustavom i njegovim operacijama. Čitajući isti, može se zaključiti da se radi o vrlo kompleksnom, ali i zanimljivom suvremenom sustavu koji donosi mnogo prednosti i napretka u smanjivanju količine isparavanja prirodnog plina pri prijevozu na tankerima. Naime, današnji tankeri za prijevoz prirodnog ukapljenog plina predstavljaju najsuvremenija tehnološka rješenja glede propulzije, same izrade tankova i sustava za ukapljivanje. Stoga „Turbo-Brayton“ pothlađivač zasigurno ispunjava takve zahtjeve. Iz danih podataka, vidljiva je isplativost i pouzdanost sustava te jednostavnost rukovanja, a najveća prednost koja ga krasi je smanjeno održavanje. Zanimljivim konceptom, svakako izaziva zaintrigiranost mnogih kompanija te bi mogao predstavljati budućnost u smanjivanju isparavanja plina iz tankova tereta. Zaključno, vidljiv je osjetni napredak u opremanju brodova za prijevoz prirodnog ukapljenog plina te ono najvažnije; kontinuirano se povećava ekonomičnost, sigurnost, jednostavnost i smanjenje utjecaja štetnosti na okoliš. |
Abstract (english) | This paper is focused on describing the “Turbo-Brayton” system as a form of subcooling, more precisely reliquefaction of natural gas (“LNG”) on homonymous vessels. The purpose of this paper is to give a clear idea of the “Turbo-Brayton” system of subcooling by describing his constituent parts and how to handle/operate them, as well as management of the system and its operations. As a result, it becomes evident that it is a very complex, but also a modern system that brings numerous advantages, and leads to great progress in reducing the amount of natural gas evaporation (“boil-off gas”) during transportation on LNG vessels. Namely, today's LNG vessels represent the most modern solutions in terms of propulsion, as well as the actual production of tanks and liquefaction systems; therefore, the "Turbo-Brayton" subcooler certainly meets such requirements. From the given data, the cost-effectiveness, reliability of the system, and the ease of handling are all visible, and its biggest advantage is reduced maintenance. With an interesting concept, it certainly arouses the intrigue of many companies and could represent the future in reducing gas evaporation (“boil-off gas“) from cargo tanks on LNG vessels. In conclusion, noticeable progress is visible in equipping vessels for the transport of liquefied natural gas, and the most important thing; economy, safety, simplicity and reduction of harmful effects on the environment are continuously increasing. |
