Abstract
U diplomskom radu je istražen pojam turizma kao elementa održivog razvoja na primjeru otoka Korčule. U okviru toga definiran je pojam turizma i održivog razvoja kao i njihova međusobna povezanost. Definirane su i prikazane prostorne i prirodne značajke grada Korčule, korištenje same prirodne i kulturne baštine u turističke svrhe kao i koncept „Albergo diffuso“ kao jednim od temelja razvoja održivog razvoja otoka Korčule. Koncept je istražen te primijenjen na mjestu na otoku Korčuli.
Abstract (english)
The thesis has explored the concept of tourism as an element of sustainable development on the example of the island of Korcula. The concept of tourism and sustainable development as well as their interconnectivity have been defined. Spatial and natural features of the city Korcula are explored, as well as the use of their own natural and cultural heritage for tourism purposes and the concept of "Albergo diffuso "as one of the foundations of sustainable development of the island of Korcula. The concept is explored and applied to a city on the island.
