Abstract
Sama svrha kao i tema ovog rada je proučiti globalne površinske morske struje, uočiti njihov utjecaj i istražiti kako se mijenjaju. U samom su radu prikazane osnovne karakteristike površinskih struja u morima i oceanima, i njihov globalni značaj za život na planeti. Bazirano na analizama dostupnih informacija prikazane su metode kojima se vrši izmjera površinskih morskih struja i utjecaj tih analiza na sigurnu plovidbu broda. Iznimno je važno poznavati kretanje i stalnost morskih struja i zbog... More ekonomskih čimbenika prilikom planiranja plovidbe. Razne informacije o morskim strujama pomorci pronalaze u priručnicima o morskim strujama, na pomorskim kartama te prognozama za određeno područje plovidbe. Sve dostupne informacije o brzini i kretanju morskim struja, podaci o vjetru, valovima ili pojavi ledu na moru upotrebljava se pri planiranju plovidbe i određivanju najpovoljnijeg pomorskog puta. Sa sigurnošću se može tvrditi da morske struje imaju utjecaj na dnevni život koje se prikazuju kroz meteorološke prilike i klimu koja se drastično mijenja iz godine u godinu, a ujedno sve te promjene direktno utječu i na planiranje plovidbe kao i na sigurnost broda i posade. Abstract (english)
The purpose and theme of this paper is to introduce oceanographic concepts, although it focuses more on the description of global surface currents. The paper presents the basic characteristics of surface currents in the seas and oceans, and their importance for life on the planet. The methods of measuring surface sea currents and the impact of analysis on the safe navigation of ships, based on the analysis of the available information, are presented. Knowledge of the movement and stability of... More sea currents is extremely important for the projection of economic factors when planning navigation. Experienced sailors can find various information about sea currents in nautical charts and forecasts for a specific navigation area. All available data on the speed and movement of sea currents, data on winds, waves or the appearance of sea ice used when planning navigation and determining the best sea route. It can be said with certainty that sea currents affect our daily life, which is presented to us through meteorological conditions and the climate that changes drastically, and at the same time, all these changes directly affect navigation planning as well as the safety of the ship and crew.
