Abstract
U ovom završnom radu obrađuje se tema Neopanamax klase brodova za prijevoz sirove nafte te odredbe o prolasku Panamskim kanalom koje nalaže uprava kanala. Rad je podijeljen na dva dijela. U prvom dijelu navodi se povijest kanala kao i konstrukcijska obilježja ustava te njihova ograničenja. Također se analiziraju problemi sa sušom s kojim je uprava kanala suočena proteklih godinu dana. U drugom dijelu rada obrađuju se pravila i zahtjevi u vezi konstrukcijskih obilježja tankera za prijevoz sirove nafte koje nalažu nadležne međunarodne organizacije. Nadalje, uspoređuju se razlike između Panamax i Neopanamax klase, konstrukcijski trendovi, te teretni sustavi Neopanamax tankera za prijevoz sirove nafte.
Abstract (english)
This paper deals with a topic of the Neopanamax class tankers for crude oil and requirements for passing through the Panama Canal which are mandated by the canal authority. The paper is divided in two parts. The first part is about the history of the canal, structural features of the locks and their limits. It also covers the topic of drought which the authority of the canal has been faced with the last year. The second part is about the laws and rules mandated by the international maritime organisations regarding the structural features of crude oil tankers. Furthermore, it compares the differences between Panamax and Neopanamax class, construction trends and cargo systems onboard Neopanamax crude oil tankers.
