Abstract
Prirodni plin (eng. Natural gas) se danas sve više koristi kao izvor energije zbog svojih povoljnih značajki, stoga je i dobio naziv energent budućnosti, a po sastavu je najčešće metan. Prirodnom ukapljenom plinu (eng. Liquefied natural gas - LNG) kao teretu je specifična niska temperatura prilikom prijevoza, stoga brodovi koji prevoze ovaj teret zahtijevaju posebnu konstrukciju, posebne mjere opreza, te posebne tankove koji imaju dobru izolaciju koja sprječava grijanje tereta. Za ovakav skup i važan produkt, važno je održavanje, te znanje posade da točno i kvalitetno vrše procedure manipuliranja teretom, te kvalitetno pripreme brod za ukrcaj/iskrcaj tereta, odnosno pripremu za dok. U ovom radu su pobliže opisane značajke i karakteristike LNG-a, te LNG tankera, kao i procedure koje se vrše prije i poslije doka.
Abstract (english)
Natural Gas is becoming increasingly used today as an energy source due to its favorable characteristics, which is why it was named the energy source of the future, and its composition is usually methane. LNG cargo has a specific low temperature during transport, so ships carrying this type of cargo require special construction, special precautions, and special tanks that have good insulation that prevents heating of cargo. For such an expensive and important product, maintenance is important, as well as the knowledge of crew to accurately and efficiently perform cargo handling procedures, prepare the ship for loading/unloading of cargo, and preparation for the dock. This paper describes in more detail the features and characteristics of LNG and LNG tankers, as well as the procedures performed before and after the dock.
