Abstract
Hrvatska slovi za jednu od najatraktivnijih turističkih destinacija na Mediteranu, te ima bogato povijesno nasljeđe, bajkovitu prirodu, vrijednu materijalnu, nematerijalnu kulturnu baštinu, samim time i nepresušne razvojne mogućnosti za kreiranje radnih mjesta, oslonjenih na turizam zbog svoje višestoljetne turističke tradicije. Ovim završnim radom nastoji se ukazati na potrebu sagledavanja turizma kao djelatnosti koja predstavlja značajan razvojni potencijal za poboljšanje otočkog gospodarstva kroz inovativne promjene. Željeno poboljšanje postiže se tako da inovativne promjene štite autentični krajobraz, otočki identitet i da proizvodi hrvatskih otoka, koji nastaju kao rezultat interdisciplinarnog istraživanja i suradnje svih dionika, budu skrojene po mjeri društvenog i gospodarskog kontekstu, kao i ciljeva održivoga razvitka. Budući da hrvatski otoci, nude svojim posjetiteljima rijedak doživljaj u izvornome prirodnom, kulturnom i povijesnom ambijentu, privlačećisve veće zanimanje posjetitelja, nužno je da nove promjene uvažavaju specifičnosti otočkih mikrolokacija. Imajući u vidu da su prepoznate komparativne prednosti i ograničenja razvoja otočnog turizma, ukazuje se na važnost i trenutno stanje otočnih destinacija kojima je nužno upravljati pomno osmišljenim sveobuhvatnim međuresorskim politikama. U cijelome procesu razvoja, turistička politika, putem svoje strategije koja bi trebala rezultirati ostvarenjem zacrtanih ciljeva, najvažnija je poluga.
Abstract (english)
Croatia ranks as one of the most attractive tourist destinations in the Mediterranean, endowed with its abundant history, fabulous nature, rich tangible and non tangible heritage, hence, it holds the endless possibilities for the creation of hospitality related occupations due to its centuries old hospitality tradition. This bachelor thesis seeks to analyse the need to consider tourism as an activity that represents an immense development potential for the betterment of the island economy through innovative changes, that cherish authentic landscapes and products of the Croatian islands, tailor made for the social and the economic context and the sustainable development objectives. Since Croatian islands keep attracting keen interest of visitors by cherishing their natural, cultural and historical assets and by offering a rare experience in authentic cultural and historical ambience, it is necessary that incoming changes take into account the specifics of the island microlocation. Bearing in mind that competitive advantages and limitations of the island tourism development have been recognized, it is pointed out that the relevance and the current state of the island tourist destination must be managed by thoroughly designed comprehensive cross sectoral policies. In the entire development process, the Hospitality policy with its strategy, that should result in achieving the planned objectives is the most important lever.
