Abstract
U ovome završnom radu detaljno je opisan radar te povijesni razvoj ne samo radara već i svih njegovih funkcija. Riječ radar predstavlja skraćenicu od početnih slova engleskoga naziva Radio Detection and Ranging - ‘radarsko otkrivanje i mjerenje’. To je elektronski uređaj koji se na temelju refleksije elektromagnetskih valova koristi za otkrivanje i određivanje pozicije objekata u moru, na kopnu i u zraku. Od 1904. godine (kada je Hulsmeyer patentirao svoj izum) radar prolazi buran tehnološko-funkcionalan razvoj od krute izvedbe (čak i antenskoga sustava) do mogućnosti upravljanja i izbora (u određenim granicama) načina rada svih sklopovskih sastavnica. Osim navedenoga, rad donosi i opis obalnih i lučkih radara te njihovih funkcija.
Abstract (english)
This final paper presents the detailed description of the radar along with all of its functions and its historical development. The term RADAR stands for Radio Detection and Ranging. It is an electronic device developed as a mean of detecting and determining the positions of target objects in the sea, on land and in the air by using the reflections of electromagnetic waves. Since 1904 (when Hulsmeyer patented his invention) radars have undergone a turbulent technological-functional development from their rigid design (even the antenna system) to the possibility of controlling and selecting (within certain limits) the mode of operation of all circuit components. In addition, coastal and port radars along with their functions are explained and described.
