Abstract
Europska unija je zajednica koja je nastala kao rezultat procesa suradnje i integracije šest europskih država, a to su Belgija, Francuska, Italija, Njemačka, Luksemburg i Nizozemska. Njihov cilj bio je uspostaviti mir između država članica nakon Drugog svjetskog rata te praktičnu suradnju kroz uspostavu zajedničkih politika pa tako i prometne politike. Razvojem zajedničke prometne politike i usvajanjem različitih odredbi dovelo je do boljeg, kvalitetnijeg i sigurnijeg odvijanja pomorskog prometa među europskim lukama. Također, luke su doživjele bolji razvoj, a zaštita morskog okoliša se počela provoditi na najvećoj mogućoj razini usvajanjem visokih standarda sigurnosti plovidbe.
Abstract (english)
The European Union is a community which has been established as result of cooperating process and integration of six european countries and those are Belgium, France, Italy, Germany, Luxembourg and Netherlands. Their intention was to pacify between member state after World War II and to establish cooperation through developing common policy and transport policy too. Due to development of common transport policy adapting different regulations it bring it to better, finer and safer proceeding of maritime traffic between european ports. Also, the ports have passed through better development and protection of marine environment have started to implement on the highest possible level adopting the highest standards of maritime safety.
