Neke od njih su Međunarodna konvencija o standardima za obuku, izdavanje svjedodžbi i obavljanje straže pomoraca, Međunarodna konvencija o teretnim linijama, Međunarodna konvencija o zaštiti ljudskih života na moru itd. Inspekcijski pregledi brodova u potpunosti su koordinirani između različitih luka članica memoranduma, a podaci o rezultatima pregleda pohranjuju se u zajedničke baze podataka s kojima su povezane sve države članice. U cilju poboljšanja sustava inspekcijskih pregleda i odabira brodova 2011. godine uveden je novi način pregleda brodova, po kojem se odabir brodova za inspekcijski pregled temelji na rizičnom profilu broda. Po novom režimu novi i bolji brodovi su manje opterećeni inspekcijama, dok su stariji i lošiji brodovi češće pregledavani. Inspekcijski pregledi kategorizirani su kao periodični, dodatni i pregledi koji se vrše temeljem sustava izbora. Vrste inspekcijskih pregleda su osnovni, dodatni i prošireni inspekcijski pregled. Inspekcijski nadzor provode ovlašteni inspektori, koristeći zajedničke postupke, bazu podataka i propisane obrasce. Na taj način izbjegavaju se nepotrebna ponavljanja, a inspekcijski nadzor postaje kvalitetniji i učinkovitiji. Ukoliko inspektor prilikom inspekcijskog pregleda broda utvrdi nedostatke koji su očito opasni po sigurnost, zdravlje ili okoliš, inspektor će izreći mjeru zabrane isplovljavanja ili obustave radnje u tijeku koje su utvrđeni nedostaci. Zabrana traje dok se opasnost ne ukloni, odnosno dok inspektor ne utvrdi da brod, poštujući sve potrebne uvjete, može nastaviti putovanje ili da se radnja može nastaviti bez opasnosti za druge brodove ili morski okoliš. Some of them are International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea, International Convention for the prevention of pollution from ships, International regulations on standards of training, certification and watchkeeping for seafarers etc. Inspection are fully coordinated between the various ports of the Memorandum Member, and the results of the review are stored in a common database in which all Member States are associated. In order to improve the system of inspection inspections and selection of ships, in 2011 a new inspection regime was introduced, based on the ship risk profile. By new regime, new and better ships are less burdened with inspections, while older and inferior ships are more often inspected. Inspections are categorized as periodic, additional and examinations and inspections based on the election system. The types of inspection examinations are the basic, additional and extended inspection. Inspecting supervision is carried out by authorized inspectors, using common procedures, databases and prescribed forms. In this way, unnecessary repetitions are avoided and inspection supervision has more quality and it becomes more efficient. If the inspector during the inspection of the ship, identifies deficiencies which represents danger to safety, health or the environment, the inspector shall impose a measure of prohibition on landing or suspending the ongoing operation which has established deficiencies. The ban lasts until the danger is removed, or the inspector does not find that the ship can (while respecting all the necessary conditions) continue the journey or that the action can continue without danger to other ships or the marine environment.
